New Website

New Desktop English Website

The New Desktop English Website is launched. Apart from the new, improved look and feel, many new features have been added. Please have a look around and tell us what you think. We would appreciate your feedback on the new design or on any errors or problems that you encounter as you browse.

On the new site, great features such as our links to audio and video resources, our informative blog and our instant chat facility, through which we answer your questions, are here to stay. But several new features have been, or are being added.

For example, soon you will be able to do quizzes online and have them automatically corrected. We will be posting some free video lessons and many more premium video lessons accessible by those taking course with us.

Writing pieces can be submitted for correction via a link on the right of the site and payment is automatically taken via our secure payment gateway.

Our new free online level test will enable prospective students unsure of what course best suits them to check their level before applying for a course with us. Th quiz is automatically corrected in parts but checked over by one of our qualified teachers.

There is a “Latest News” feed on the front page of the site, where new services, important exam information or company announcements can be found.

All our courses can now be bought directly from the site through our new e-commerce facility.

But, perhaps the most important change of all is the beginning of our new “Webinars” service. We will be offering regular webinars, some free, some not, some hosted by our teachers and some by selected guest speakers. In them, we will be covering a range of topics from exam preparation to teacher training, from planning successful business presentations to formal email writing in English. The webinars will have pre course reading and online questionnaires and quizzes, along with follow-up work to make sure you get the most out of your experience. Check back soon for more information.

In the meantime, enjoy the new website and be sure to be in touch with any suggestions for improvement!

Which Birmingham City player (past or present) had the greatest dribbling ability, most imaginative pool of vocabulary and general command of the English language and why? (drop me a line m8).
